Does your phone support eSIM?

Find your model in the list. If it is not there, that does not mean it cannot use an eSIM — it means we have not checked it, and then the surer answer is in your phone settings, described below.

Units sold in mainland China have no eSIM at all — they carry a second physical SIM instead and look identical.

Ten seconds to be sure

iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service (Cellular). If "Add eSIM" is there, your phone supports it.

Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs (on some brands Connections → SIM manager). If it offers to add or download a SIM, your phone supports it.

The phone has to be unlocked

A phone locked to one carrier will refuse another carrier's eSIM even when the model supports it. Unlocking is handled by the carrier the phone is tied to.
